Every resident has different needs. These answers provide general guidance, and our team will explain the most suitable accommodation and care arrangement after an individual assessment.

1. What is Samara Assisted Living?

Samara Assisted Living provides a safe, comfortable and supportive living environment for senior citizens, individuals recovering after hospitalisation or surgery, and persons who require assistance with daily activities.

2. Who can stay at Samara Assisted Living?

Our services may be suitable for senior citizens needing everyday assistance, persons requiring post-hospitalisation or post-operative care, individuals needing nursing supervision, short-term respite care or long-term assisted living, and families seeking a secure, professionally managed care environment for their loved ones. Admission is subject to an assessment of the person’s health condition and care requirements.

3. What types of accommodation are available?

Samara offers Private/Single, Twin-Sharing and Triple-Sharing accommodation, subject to availability. Families may discuss room preferences during the admission enquiry.

4. Is nursing support available?

Yes. Trained nursing and caregiving personnel are available to support residents according to their individual care plans and assessed needs.

5. Is Samara Assisted Living a hospital?

No. Samara is an assisted-living and supportive-care facility, not a hospital. Residents requiring emergency treatment, intensive medical intervention or specialist hospital care will be referred or transferred to an appropriate hospital in consultation with the family.

6. What assistance is provided with daily activities?

Depending on the resident’s needs, assistance may include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, mobility, toileting, diaper care, repositioning and other routine personal-care activities.

7. How are medicines administered?

Medicines are administered according to the treating doctor’s prescription and the medication instructions provided during admission. Medication administration is recorded by the nursing team. Families should provide current prescriptions and complete information about medicines, allergies and previous reactions.

8. Can residents continue treatment with their own doctor?

Yes. Residents may ordinarily continue consulting their existing doctor. The family should provide the doctor’s contact details, prescriptions and treatment instructions. Consultations, investigations and hospital visits can be coordinated based on the resident’s needs and the agreed care arrangement.

9. Is physiotherapy available?

Physiotherapy support may be arranged according to the resident’s medical condition and the treating doctor’s advice. Availability, frequency and applicable charges should be confirmed with the Samara team.

10. Are meals provided?

Yes. Regular meals and beverages are provided. Dietary preferences, medical restrictions, allergies and feeding-assistance requirements should be communicated during admission. Special diets may be arranged where practicable and medically appropriate.

11. Can the care plan be customised?

Yes. An individual care plan may be prepared based on the resident’s health condition, mobility, medication, dietary needs, personal-care requirements and the treating doctor’s instructions. The plan may be reviewed when the resident’s condition changes.

12. Do you provide short-term stays?

Short-term, respite and post-hospitalisation stays may be available, subject to room availability and assessment of the person’s care requirements.
